Desde que cheguei estou super impressionada com esse país, e cada dia que passo aqui descubro mais coisas interessantes e beeem diferentes dos costumes brasileiros.
Eu sei que faz pouco tempo que eu estou no país, porém eu namoro um australiano há 4 anos, então dá pra ter uma idéia dos costumes, e quando cheguei encontrei mais diferenças :)
De acordo com o meu ponto de vista, vou listar algumas coisas que eu notei e que são diferentes para mim.
Since I arrived I am super impressed with this country, and every day I spend here I find most interesting things and very very different from Brazilian customs.
I know that not long ago that I'm in the country, but I dating an Australian 4 years, then give to get an idea of morals, and when I arrived I found more differences :)
According to my point of view, I will list a few things I noticed and are different for me.
1- Eu estou morando numa cidade do sul e eu venho do nordeste do Brasil, então o choque climático foi grande pra mim, na minha cidade (fortaleza) estava fazendo uns 32 graus e aqui não passa do 9 graus, portanto é bem frio.
2- Não é da cultura australiana comer os clássicos: arroz, feijão, bife e batatas fritas hahahaha, existe tudo isso aqui sim, mas as pessoas passam o dia nas gordices mesmo, é muito Mc Donalds hahahaha.
3- Fico tensa toda hora que vou usar o banheiro, porque aqui não tem o lixinho no toilette, você descarta o papel dentro do vaso sanitário (não, não entope o encanamento).
4- Falando de banheiro novamente :) ainda fico super confusa em ter que ajustar a água, são duas torneiras (quente e frio) em todas as pias, chuveiros e banheiras. Se você não ajusta do modo correto ou fica congelante ou fervente, (isso é bem chatinho de fazer).
5- As contas da casa aparentemente são pagas apenas de 3 em 3 meses (#chocada).
6- A energia elétrica usada aqui é a solar, então é bem mais barata, e se você economizar bastante energia, você recebe dinheiro ao invés de pagar a conta de luz (#chocada de novo)
7- Aqui não se compra água, a água da torneira já é purificada, e nos bares, pubs e restaurantes é servida gratuitamente.
8- A direção dos carros e das estradas é do lado direito (lado errado pra nós brasileiros haha) o jeito de andar nas avenidas, calçadas e faixas de pedestres são todas do lado errado, eu me sinto bem assustada quando estou na estrada, parece que vamos bater em todos os carros que vem na outra direção (#micos).
9- os australianos têm muita consciência com a reciclágem, todo o lixo orgânico é separado dos produtos recicláveis.
10- Ainda falando em lixo, o carro de coleta de lixo só passa uma vez por semana (nas sextas feiras).
11- Nos supermercados você não precisa pegar fila (paraíso hahahaha) tem várias máquinas onde você mesmo passa e paga suas compras (país de rico é outra história hahaha).
12- A cara horária de trabalho aqui é bem menor que no Brasil, é bem comum as pessoas trabalharem só uns 3 dias por semana, e o salário é bem alto assim mesmo.
13- Aqui na cidade que eu estou é tudo muuuuuuito barato, eu piro todas as vezes que vou em alguma loja, ex: eu queria comprar uma bota no brasil e ela custava quase 200 reais, encontrei a mesma aqui por 25 dólares (surtei, mas tudo bem, micos à parte)
14- Se você acha que brasileiros bebem muito, você esta muito enganado hahahaha, os australianos bebem 3 vezes mais...
15- As pessoas aqui adoram atividades ao ar livre, eles gostam de pescar, fazer fogueiras perto do rio, fazer pique-nics, acampar etc...
16- Coalas são adoráveis, fofinhas e dá vontade de colocar no braço, porém elas são bem selvagens e podem lhe machucar bastante, portanto, se você ver um coala na estrada, não mecha com ele!
17- O inglês australiano é completamente diferente do americano, eles tem um sotaque bem forte e falam muito rápido, misturando todas as palavras, é dificíl de entender se você tiver só o inglês básico, mas nada impossível hahaha
18- As pessoas aqui são muito educadas, simpáticas e hospitaleiras, você é muito bem tratado em qualquer lugar que você vá.
19- O sol aqui só aparece umas 7:30 da manhã e ainda assim, é bem fraquinho, na minha cidade o sol nasce as 5:30 (estranho)
Essas são as diferenças que eu notei até agora, e aí, o que vocês acharam?
1 I'm living in a southern town and I come from northeastern Brazil, so the climate shock was big for me, in my city (Fortaleza) was doing a 32 degrees and here is only the 9 degrees, so it is very cold.
2 None of Australian culture eat the classics: rice, beans, steak and chips hahahaha, there is all here, but people spend the day in fastfood, is a lot of Mc Donalds hahahaha.
3- I'm tense all the time I'll use the bathroom, because here does not have the bin on the toilette, you throw the paper into the toilet bowl (no, does not clog the plumbing).
4 Speaking of bathroom again :) I'm still super confused about having to adjust the water, are two taps (hot and cold) in all sinks, showers and tubs. If you do not set the right way or is freezing or boiling, (it is boring to do).
5- The accounts of the house are apparently paid only 3 in 3 months (:0).
6- The electricity used here is solar, so it's much cheaper, and if you save enough energy, you get money instead of paying the electric bill (weird)
7- You don't have to buy water, tap water is already purified, and bars, pubs and restaurants is served for free.
8- The direction of cars and roads is on the right (wrong side for us Brazilians) the way of walking in the streets, sidewalks and crosswalks are all on the wrong side, I feel really scared when I'm on the road, it seems we'll hit on all cars coming in the other direction.
9 Australians have much awareness to recycling, all organic waste is separated from recyclable products.
10- Still speaking of trash, garbage collection car only goes once a week (on Fridays).
11- In supermarkets you do not need to take lines (paradise hahahaha) has multiple machines where you passes and pay your own purchases (rich country is another story hahaha).
12- The hourly work here is much lower than in Brazil, is quite common for people to work only three days a week and the salary is very high anyway.
13- Here in the city that I am is everything very cheaply, I freak out every time I go in a store, I wanted to buy a boot in Brazil and it cost almost 200 reais, found the same here for $ 25 dollars...
14. If you think that Brazilian people drink too much, you are very wrong hahahaha, Australians drink 3 times more ...
15- People here love outdoor activities, they like fishing, campfires near the river, doing pique-nic, camping etc ...
16. Koalas are adorable, cuddly and makes you want to put on the arm, but they are very wild and can hurt you a lot, so if you see a koala on the road, do not lock him!
17- The Australian English is completely different from the US, they have a very strong accent and talk very fast, mixing all the words, it's hard to understand if you only have basic English, but nothing impossible hahaha
18- The people here are very polite, friendly and hospitable, you are treated very well anywhere you go.
19- The sun appears only here a 7:30 am and still is very weak, in my city the sun rises at 5:30 (strange)
